International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global commemorative day celebrated annually on March 8 as a focal point in the women’s rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive health rights, and violence and abuse against women and girls.

This year, the theme for the International Women’s Day is ‘DIGITAL; Innovations and Technology for Gender Equality’ and it aims to emphasize the importance of technology in bringing gender issues to light.

Stand With A Girl (SWAG) Initiative is a youth led organization dedicated in ensuring that every girl is empowered to fulfill her maximum potential. We are happy into this annual holiday to celebrate women and girls.

Having worked in over 13 states in the 6 geopolitical zones in Nigeria, the organizations’ aim remains to promote the health and wellbeing of women and girls in the society through education, reproductive health rights awareness and empowerment.
